Thank you for your interest in Blind Unbound, an innovative storytelling initiative of the National Federation of the Blind to reshape how society understands blind people through multi-platform public experiences in art, media, education, and technology. While one vital component of Blind Unbound is the National Museum of the Blind People’s Movement, this initiative extends far beyond a single physical location. Recognition opportunities may reflect support for physical spaces within the museum or for national initiatives across the broader Blind Unbound storytelling and public education effort. 

All supporters at the levels listed below will be recognized on the Blind Unbound honor roll and may select any of the recognition opportunities described or discuss other possibilities.

$3,000,000 – Dream Champion

  • Recognition as a supporter of the national Blind Unbound initiative
  • Prominent recognition in major Blind Unbound communications and public-facing materials
  • Recognition at national events and Blind Unbound milestones
  • Atrium Entrance (physical space) - A commemorative plaque will be placed inside or near the atrium entrance

$2,000,000 - $2,999,999 – Transformation Advocate

  • Recognition as a supporter of national Blind Unbound educational resources for students and educators
  • Recognition in Blind Unbound educational materials and educational program communications
  • Gallery or exhibit (physical space) - A commemorative plaque will be placed inside or near a gallery, exhibit, or similar location

$1,000,000 - $1,999,999 – Legacy Steward

  • Recognition as a supporter of preserving and sharing the history of the blind people's movement
  • Recognition in Blind Unbound archival publications and digital collections
  • A commemorative plaque will be placed inside or near the archives space accessible to the public

500,000 - $999,999 - Expectation Builder

  • Recognition as a supporter of innovative collaborations in arts, media, and technology
  • Recognition in public-facing programs focused on the arts, media, and technology
  • A commemorative plaque will be placed inside or near the heart of the museum

250,000 - $499,999 - Accessibility Ambassador

  • Recognition as a supporter of Blind Unbound online exhibits and digital public engagement
  • Recognition on Blind Unbound digital platforms and virtual experiences

$100,000 - $249,999 – Belief Changer

  • Recognition as a supporter of Blind Unbound public education content
  • Recognition on Blind Unbound digital platforms and productions aimed at changing public perceptions of blind people

$50,000 - $99,999 - Community Connector

  • Recognition as a supporter of Blind Unbound innovative and community building spaces for all
  • A commemorative plaque will be placed in the store

$25,000 - $49,999 - Inclusion Influencer

  • Recognition as a supporter of innovative and inclusive digital and physical spaces
  • Recognition will be placed on a Blind Unbound virtual or physical exhibit demonstrating accessible inclusive design

$10,000 - $24,999 –Storyteller

  • Recognition as a supporter of authentic storytelling by blind people
  • Recognition will be placed on our Blind Unbound oral history platform

All gifts and pledges of $10,000 or more will be recognized at the appropriate level on the Blind Unbound honor roll, at events, on the Blind Unbound website, and in campaign reports and materials, unless the contributor specifically requests to remain anonymous. Additional recognition opportunities will become available as the Blind Unbound initiative continues to grow and evolve.
